At Planet Italia, which is located in Houston (Texas), we offer Italian language courses and private tuition for adults and children, ranging from Italian for beginners to advanced Italian throughout the year, both in the morning and the evening, and on Saturdays.
At Planet Italia we also offer Italian conversation groups, Italian courses at your workplace or at your home, Italian language lessons on the phone, Italian for travelers, and Italian cultural courses for those who want to explore wonderful corners of Italy, together with aspects of its music, cuisine, and art, and are not necessarily Italian language students.

Welcome to Planet Italy, Italian Language Food & Culture Club! This is absolutely one of the best meetup groups in Houston, and possibly in the world!
We meet a minimum of once a month to speak Italian and share our love of Italian language, food and culture. Our main focus is to practice speaking the Italian language, and our other goals are to enjoy anything else related to Italy. It's a very friendly and relaxed group and we usually meet in restaurant or private home. Other events in a given month may include wine tastings, musical events, lectures, food tastings, etc. While you don't need to know Italian to join the group, we do encourage you to have at least a basic level of Italian vocabulary and grammar, or to sign up for lessons, so you can practice your language skills with us.

Event Attendance: We expect our members to be courteous. If you sign up to attend an event, we are expecting you... If your plans change, please change your reservation on our website so we can get an accurate count and others can participate.
Membership: We currently have no membership dues, but we do expect members to make voluntary donations of $2 at monthly meet up gatherings and there are sometimes additional service fees added to the event ticket price to share in the group's expenses in arranging events/Paypal fees, etc. To join, please fill out a profile and submit for approval. Profiles that aren't filled out won't be approved. Profiles with inappropriate photos will not be approved and will be removed.
Message Board: Our message board is only for Italian-related subjects. Please be advised that non Italian-related messages or inappropriate messages will be removed at the discretion of the organizers.
